August 8, 2012 The United States government’s Office of Personnel Management recently announced that 14% of the Department of Defense’s civilian employees have disabilities. According to the Department of Defense (DOD), there has been an emphasis over the last few years to hire people with disabilities and wounded warriors (military veterans who have disabilities).
